Our Board of Directors is made up of community-minded volunteers who share a belief in quality, culturally grounded, and accessible early learning for Fort Macleod. Each director brings unique experience, leadership, and a personal commitment to supporting families and strengthening our community.
President
Mackenzie Hengerer

I have been passionate about early childhood education and non-profit sector work for 15 years. Being part of this Society represents a bigger vision — supporting rural communities, addressing local social needs, and helping create meaningful, equitable access to early learning for families and educators in the Fort Macleod community.
Treasurer
Laura Yunick

As a parent and community member, I want to ensure Fort Macleod has strong, sustainable childcare options. I joined to help build something long-lasting — a centre that supports families today while strengthening the future of our town.
Director at Large - Voting Member
Lee Holfeld

My background in education and my current work in the continuing education space inspired me to join the Society. This role allows me to reconnect with the roots of early learning—an area I’ve always been passionate about. I’m eager to support a project that strengthens educational pathways from the very beginning and contributes to a thriving future for families in Fort Macleod
Vice-President
Jesse Syrowitz

I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and enriching place to learn and grow. I joined the board to help expand childcare access in our community and to support a project that will make a real difference for local families.
Secretary
Keeley Odney

I’ve experienced first-hand how important it is for families in rural communities to have reliable, high-quality childcare. Access to early learning shouldn’t depend on where you live. I joined the board to help ensure Fort Macleod families have the support, stability, and opportunities every child deserves.
