Safety, Licensing & Ongoing Support
 

All Sunshine Kids Family Dayhomes:
 

• Operate under Alberta’s Family Day Home Program regulations

• Are approved and monitored by our licensed agency

• Complete criminal record and vulnerable sector checks for all adults in the home

• Maintain current first aid certification and required training

• Participate in regular home visits and ongoing oversight

• Follow provincial health, safety, and programming standards
   

Families enrolled in licensed dayhomes also receive access to the Alberta Child Care Affordability Grant, helping reduce monthly childcare costs. In addition, our educators receive continuous agency support, access to professional development, and optional participation in group health benefits — strengthening the quality and sustainability of care in our community.
